1. Age Requirement // Please be at least sixteen years of age, due to laws that could theoretically get our asses handed to us if you're not. We'd prefer eighteen, but it's unfair to exclude perfectly good players just because of age. Just make sure you have the time to devote to the game if you apply! If you're underage for your country, then please refrain from taking part in any NC-17 threads. There will be mature themes and situations in this game, and if you do not believe you can handle it with grace and maturity, no matter your age, then we recommend not applying.

2. Activity // Post one journal a week and one thread with an acceptable number of comments every two weeks. If you're going on hiatus, you get three weeks before your character goes up for adoption, unless your circumstances are extenuating. Please contact the mods if it's something like this.

3. No God-Modding // Do it once, you get a warning. Do it twice, and if the circumstances are strong enough, you'll be removed.

4. No OOC Drama // No exceptions, period. If you intentionally cause it, expect to be removed. Also, don't leak IC feelings into OOC feelings. It's just a game, we promise. Respect the mods and the players, and this shouldn't be a problem.

5. No Mary Sues or Gary Stus // This is what the application process is for. If you're in, you're in, but if your character morphs into a Mary Sue or Gary Stu, we'll call your attention to the problem and give you time to work it out. If you don't or refuse, you run the risk of being removed.

6. Canon // Stick to canon characterization. Obviously plot will be different, given the plot of this game, but Voldemort is never going to put on a pink feather boa and dance around the room to George Michael. Neither should Snape. Or Remus. Maybe Sirius, but only on a dare or if he's drunk.

7. Slash // Bring it on, but keep it canon. This isn't a Gaywarts game or a Smutwarts game. We're all about having fun, and smut and slash are completely allowed, but remember that these kids are still at Hogwarts. Sex is still a Very Big Deal, and they most likely won't be getting it every day. We're going to keep the homosexual/bisexual/heterosexual ratio as realistic as possible.

8. Character Limit // Up to three, unless you've proven you can handle four. You can't have two characters who would regularly interact with one another.

9. Game Time // Since the game is starting on 18 April, yet it will be in September 1988 game-time, we're going to be five months behind. Here's a handy chart for that:
